2012 New York Maker Faire

City Tech Makers, students from School of Technology and Design working in the Mechatronics Technology Center (MTC) lead by Ali, Bijan, Ethan, Fritz, Aidan, Lin, and Anthony presented their robotic projects in this year’s New York City Maker Faire held in New York Hall of Science on September 29th and 30th, 2012.

Students’ robotic projects such as Candy Crane, NXT Segway, SniffBot, Devastator, Turtle Shell, and many others attracted huge number of attendees young and old.

Because of students’ excellent work, City Tech received the 2012 New Maker Faire Educator’s Choice Award. See Figure 1.

We received numerous requests for information from the attendees, and may requests for collaboration from other makers and institutions.

We were so proud of the students’ performance and appreciate greatly of their hard work. We would like to thank the Administration, City Tech Foundation, and the Recruitment Office for the support.
